Genshin impact has launched globally for ios/android/pc/ps4 on sept 29 and is free to play action role playing game developed and published by miHoYo.The game features a fantasy-based open world environment and action based battle system, using elemental magic, character switching and uses gacha game monetization for players to obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources.The game features a limited multiplayer mode allowing up to four players to play together.But coop is limited to server so you cant coop a player who is in different server.Genshin Impact takes place on the fictional world of Teyvat, which is home to several nations. Each nation is with an element and worships a god associated with that element. A pair of twins arrive on Teyvat in the distant past, but are barred from leaving by an unknown god. After trapping one, she seals the other for some time. After the sealed twin, who is referred to as the Traveler, awakens, they travel across Teyvat with their newfound companion, Paimon, to look for their twin. The game received generally positive reception, with critics praising the combat and open world freedom, while some criticism was raised at its monetization. The game grossed over $100 million in twelve days, recouping its entire budget.
STORY
The first part of the main Genshin Impact story concerns Stormterror, a once-peaceful dragon that is now attacking the kingdom of Mondstadt. Alongside the Knights of Favonius and the wind god Barbatos, the Traveler and Paimon work to calm Stormterror and bring Mondstadt peace. Along the way, players join forces with several of Genshin Impact's starter characters, most of whom are members of the Knights of Favonius. A group known as the Fatui is also introduced, although their machinations and motivations aren't fully revealed.Later story continues to liyue another city of geo with different arc and we can expect more cities in future
CHARACTERS
Characters can primarily be obtained by using Primogems to purchase Intertwined Fates or Acquaint Fates to perform Wishes (Gacha pulls). The starter characters: Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa, can be obtained for free early in the main storyline (Archon Quests). Some characters may also be purchased from the monthly Paimon's Bargains shop in exchange for Masterless Starglitter.And dupe characters turns into constellations can be considered as more power or special stats to character and you have talents for each character and they have their own elements
REVIEW :
After playing 60+ hours this game is fun to play and explore and trying out different heros and weapons and killing bosses but the game is so grindy and we can't grind because of resin system(energy system in mobile games) where you need resin to do quests which give rewards for leveling up characters/weapons . we get 160 resin per day where bosses consume 40 resin and domains 20 resin so at the end game there is not much to do which is a big drawback of this game . And we need to save primogems properly and use them wisely or else we may end up getting 5 star character late game rather than getting it in mid game.
